    Subscribing to the SYS$COMMAND BBS is simple. Have your Visa or Master-
    card ready to subscribe on-line. To subscribe by mail, read further on
    through this bulletin for our mailing address.

    When you subcribe, you will receive by return mail a packet of 
    information, including important information about the SYS$COMMAND
    BBS. Similar information is also available on-line here in the
    bulletins. This packet will also include a current listing of the 
    files available in the file areas of the SYS$COMMAND BBS.

    To subcribe my mail, download the SUBSCRIB.ZIP file from file area 1.
    Use your favorite text editor to fill in the form. Print out the form,
    sign it, and send it with a check or money order for $80, payable to
    "David J. Dachtera". Send the completed form (remember to include your 
    check or money order) to the following address:

    You may also FAX your subscription request to the BBS number shown on
    the connection screen. Your FAX sender (FAX machine, FAX modem, etc.)
    must issue the FAX identification tone within 10 seconds of the system
    answering, or you will be connected to the BBS instead of the FAX
    receiver. If your FAX modem or FAX machine does not issue the FAX 
    identification tone (a slow "beep"-ing tone after dialing), then this
    method will not work for you. In that case, you may use either the
    on-line subscription door or you may subscribe my mail.

    NEED COMMUNCIATION SOFTWARE?

    Are you currently using someone else's system to access the 
    SYS$COMMAND BBS? Are you using a terminal and getting strange 
    characters on your screen? If you answered "Yes" to either or both of 
    these questions, then you need some communications software of your 
    own! The shareware concept of software distribution makes it possible 
    for us to offer you some fully functional shareware communications 
    programs for a very low price. If you mail in your subscription, 
    please indicate whether you would like to receive some shareware 
    communication software, and which one you would like: you may choose 
    between TELIX V3.21 (our favorite at the moment) or QMODEM V4.6. 
    Both of these are shareware and we will send your choice on diskette 
    with your subcription packet. Remember to specify which diskette 
    format you require: 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch, DD (Double Density) or 
    HD (High Density). Unless you say otherwise, we will send 3.5 DD 
    diskettes. How low is the price for these? How does $0.00 grab you??!! 
    (We will, however, let the authors know that we have given you a 
    shareware copy of their work.) If you would like to purchase the 
    registered versions of these programs, we will try to keep a few of 
    each in stock for immediate shipment. For the registered version of 
    TELIX V3.22, add $39 to your order. For the registered version of 
    QMODEM, add $45 to your order. Remember to specify which program you 
    want (or, even, buy both!).
